Outdoorsmen Church serving Frenchtown and Missoula

Outfitting the body to rescue the searching

Our goal is to connect with Western Montanans through their shared passion for outdoor activities. Our mission:  building relationships and sharing the Christian gospel in a relaxed, non-traditional setting.

Welcome Visitors

At Outdoorsmen Church, we are focused on breaking down the walls that prevent people from seeking Christ. Our services are incredibly relaxed. Come in your jeans and don’t be afraid of spilling the coffee! Join us for our church services with contemporary worship & solid Biblical teaching that is relevant to our community.

Outdoorsmen’s foundation is the inspired word of God. His word will not be watered down or influenced by the culture, but it will be relevant to the culture. Services include messages that are real and applicable to daily life. We have fun and relevant children’s programs at each service. Outdoorsmen is a place where kids love church!

Our church is founded on Jesus’ style of ministry. We believe in investing in relationships to reach the lost and disciple believers. This is done through small groups, church services, community outreaches, dinners in homes and other events. We believe that the local church’s job is to carry out the great commission: reaching all the people for Christ!

Our VAlues and Beliefs

Solidly Biblical

2 Timothy 3:16-17

Outdoorsmen Church is founded on the inspired word of God. His word will not be watered down, or influenced by the culture, it is relevant to the culture, and we are committed to communicate God’s word in a way that people can relate it to their lives. Everything we do must align with God’s word first and foremost. God’s word and the truth of it must be the number one priority in our lives and all we do as a church. It holds the “how-tos” of life and teaches us how to know Him in a deeper way.

1 Corinthians 9:19-23

In the book of Acts, Paul says that God determined the place and time of all people; this is their culture. He did this so that they would reach out to Him. If God put us in this culture to reach out to Him, then we need to use that for His kingdom. We work to break down the walls that prevent those in the culture from seeking Christ and we intentionally build bridges with the Lost in the community.

Romans 12:9-10

In the book of Romans chapter 12 Paul urges the Roman believers to let their love be genuine, to hate what is evil and hold fast to what is good. He goes on to urge them to love one another with brotherly affection and to outdo one another in showing honor.
Within the church, our hope is that when people enter the doors of our building and walk with us throughout our lives, they will know they are loved, honored and built up into what is good. Being a church family is something that may be new to some, but once you experience it, it is a feeling that is hard to live without. In God’s church we are one of another. We weep when others weep and rejoice when others rejoice. We seek to live in harmony with one another. Outside of the church walls in the community, our hope is that we will take the love we have received from Jesus and will go out and build relationships and hang out with others with the purpose of sharing the gospel and allowing them to see what Jesus has done in our lives. It’s this atmosphere of Christ’s love that welcomes and includes all people into the family of God. Outdoorsmen Church is just one local representation of Christ’s body the church.

Matthew 22:39 “…You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

James 2:15-16 “If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, be warmed, and be filled.’

And yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?” The heart of Outdoorsmen Church will be community. We desire to practice what Jesus modeled – “Love your neighbor”. Jesus did this through providing for the people around Him. Outdoorsmen will work to do the same by meeting real, felt needs in people’s lives and the community as a whole.

Ephesians 4:11-13

In empowering people, we work to call people up and equip them so we can collectively carry out ministry. To do this we invest time in potential leaders through relational discipleship. We may be responsible for an area of ministry, but we do our best to give ministry away, allowing others to partner in the journey. Along the way, through personal growth, active discipleship and opportunities to serve, the Body of Christ is built up to maturity, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, and in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood.
  • We believe the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His substitutionary death on the cross, and His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. In His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His current ministry as Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe salvation of lost and sinful people is received only by grace through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ.
